Trak Global makes two senior hires as it eyes international growth
Trak Global Group (TGG), the UK’s leading telematics technology business, has announced two senior appointments to help spearhead the company’s international expansion.
Ivan Bumstead has joined the business as CFO, and Stevan Hoyle has joined the Board as a non-executive director.
CEO Nick Corrie said the two appointments will add significant M&A and international experience to the management team, where the future of the Group increasingly lies.
“Telematics is now a mature market in the UK, and represents a significant opportunity internationally in both personal lines and fleet.”
He said that acquisitions would also be on the agenda, where they made strategic sense for TGG and could help power growth.
“Stevan and Ivan together add the experience, track record and network we need to push ahead with our ambitious plans, and I’m delighted they are joining our team.”
Ivan is responsible for leading the TGG finance function, managing the financial stewardship of the business and working with the management team to plan, measure, manage and improve business performance.
Stevan’s 17 years with Vodafone PLC, including several years as president, Asia and Africa Vodafone Global, means he brings experience of tech M&A on both buy-side and sell-side.
“TGG is an exciting opportunity. Telematics, and data analytics derived from that technology, will re-frame the motor insurance market, and the UK is a world leader in this field. We have a great opportunity to export the TGG proposition abroad, such as North America, where there is growing interest.”
Ivan started his career in finance at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1995 before moving into corporate finance with P&O Ports in 2001. In 2006 Ivan joined First Choice (now TUI Group) before becoming CFO of LateRooms.com in 2009. Subsequently Ivan has held CFO positions in both the travel and tech sectors at Audley Travel and de Poel.
Stevan spent 17 Years with Vodafone Group PLC, latterly as President Asia & Africa of Vodafone Global, based in Singapore. Most of his roles involved building Vodafone’s reputation and footprint as a credible global telecoms provider. To that end, he was also responsible for establishing Vodafone in the Americas and in Asia. Prior to that he was MD of Vodafone Corporate.
